Shoppers Drug Mart Online – Luxury & Drugstore!

Perhaps one of the most exciting things a Canadian beauty lover has heard in the last few weeks is that Shopper Drug Mart is FINALLY offering not only their highend luxury items online, but now they’ve also incorporated the drugstore side of things in too! And if you hadn’t heard this – well consider yourself up to speed and you can rejoice with the rest of us!

Canada has always struggled for online retailers that would sell us drugstore beauty items. Beauty Boutique (the predecessor to Shoppers Drug Mart Online) offered us the ability to purchase luxury items online and get them shipped to our door, but we’ve long been lamenting that we’ve never had easy access to their drugstore products… until now!

I’ve been perusing the web site for the last week or so and I have to say that not *everything* I want to buy is on there (more specifically, I can’t find my Aveeno toner, the Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub and the QUO nail polish remover), but there is a surprising amount of stock given that the web site has only been up for the last week or so. I’ve been checking routinely and I can see that they’re regularly adding product, so I can only hope/assume that at some point they’ll have everything up on there within a certain amount of time. As it stands their selection is fairly massive – I can pick up a bottle of expensive perfume and throw in a essence mascara as well. The ability to shop for drugstore and highend products feels immense to me as a Canadian shopper. I know Americans have had ULTA for quite a long time, but tp us this is brand new territory!

Shoppers Drug Mart Online offers free shipping once you’ve spent $50, and, of course, you have the ability to earn and spend your PC Optimum points on the site. Also, if you don’t like something you purchased? No problem – free returns in stores!

Here’s my top picks for what to buy online at Shoppers Drug Mart:

I, for one, am PUMPED about this! I feel like I’ve been tweeting at Shoppers Drug Mart for years to get their butts online, and I am so, so glad that we’re finally here! Happy shopping everyone!

And don’t forget Ebates! Make your beauty purchases online and get yourself some cashback too. (I’ve made $720 back over the last few years, just got give you an idea of how much you can potentially make back on your purchases.)

The products photographed in this post were sent to me for consideration. Post contains affiliate links.

  1. LOL I think I’m the only person who much prefers shopping in store. For everything. I’m not big on online shopping. I don’t know, I’m just picky I guess and need to see it in person to know I ‘need’ it. Otherwise I just can’t justify the purchase. I love the Beauty Boutique. But I do get that Shoppers was behind the ball on this one. I mean, when I shop online for makeup, it’s always Sephora. But I like Shoppers Optimum points better. (Spend your points days anyone?! 😀 ) So it’s good that Shoppers is finally getting on the game! Cuz I love my CDN SDM! (And London Drugs 😀 ).

    1. You’re definitely one of the rare few now for sure! So many of us are wrapped up in getting Ebates back on all our purchases so I hate the idea of buying something in stores!

  2. This is great news! But I still prefer to go to my local Shoppers which is only two blocks away. I don’t order online unless it’s not found in stores. I’ve decided to go back to drugstore makeup so I can save my money for more important things like video games (one day I want to get a gaming PC), travel, and other events.

I hear Pixi and Milani are new brands. I heard good things about NYX as it’s super cheap but still good quality and same with Milani. I think I’m torn between NYX, Milani, and Essence to choose from once I use up all my expensive makeup!

    1. A Shoppers two blocks away is definitely super handy! I think for me I save more money when it’s online because I use Ebates and wait for sales.
Pixi and Milani have been around for quite some time, but I feel like they’re becoming more respected lately. In general I find Pixi to be quite expensive – especially when you compare them to Milani. In general, I’d get brow pencils and shadows from NYX, lipsticks from Milani and mascara from essence. Hope that helps!

      1. Yeah it is very convenient, I walk there all the time. I even did an internship there once as part of college so the staff know me.

I don’t use anything on my brows but NYX does have some nice palettes so I’ll look into it. I saw some sweet lipstick colours from Milani when I saw Nikkietutorials do a video with it so I’ll definitely check that out. They also have a lip exfoliant and lip night mask which is much cheaper than the lip night mask I use from Laneige. As for mascara it’s hit or miss and I like volumizing mascara so hopefully Essence has that, it would be better than spending thirty bucks on my Lancome one! Thanks for the advice, I’ll have to

    2. Lots of great drugstore options! I fluctuate between high end and drugstore. I think every brand has a couple things that are just holy-grail excellent, and every brand has a few duds. Essence has the mascaras and I personally like their eye primers. NYX has great liners and primers. Milani has great blush, concealers, primers and sprays. And the list goes on with other brands! 😏

  3. I was excited to see that they have Catrice. I’ve always been interested to try it, but hard to get in Canada.
