For the last few months, Bite Beauty has been releasing limited edition 250 point perks at Sephora. September’s shade was Mimosa and I snagged it in one of my recent Sephora orders.
The 250 point perk come with a mini lipstick, a mini lip gloss and a pocket sized mirror. Each package is themed around a single colour, so you end up getting a corresponding lipstick, gloss and mirror.
The Mimosa lipstick is all kinds of amazingess. It’s a orangey-red and has the typical “Wild Berry” scent that Bite‘s lipsticks have. Mimosa has a luminous creme finish and glides onto the lips easily. The colour is absolutely incredible, plus… you can’t go wrong with a name like Mimosa!
Having never tried a Bite lip gloss before, I was intrigued to find that their gloss has a citrus scent. The Mimosa gloss mimics the colour in the lipstick and holy smokes is it ever pigmented! I couldn’t believe just how much colour is packed into that gloss.
Aren’t those swatches incredible? There’s so much colour in both the lipstick and the gloss!
The tiny pocket mirror has turned out to be handy too. I didn’t actually have a small mirror I could carry around with me that looked decent enough to take outside my apartment so I’m pretty happy to have this cute little one.
Mimosa is the kind of shade of red that I absolutely love wearing. I feel like it’s similar to Revlon‘s Fire and Ice (another favourite) although I’ve not compared them side by side. It’s an easy red to wear – not only because it looks gorgeous, but also because it sits on the lips really, really nicely. Unfortunately, Mimosa is a limited edition shade, so if you want it, be sure to snatch it up! I think I’ll be picking up the full size because I’m completely enamoured with the colour.
I’m curious to see what colour Bite Beauty will release next month! Last month was Bellini, a gorgeous neon pink shade, so I kind of feel like they’re sticking with the drink names. Maybe Sangria is next? Hmmm….
I LOVE this colour so much! The only thing I don’t love is that weird pointy tip on the lipstick lol

lol it’s really slanted too. I have a bad habit of snapping my Bite bullets so I’m not sure how this one is going to fare…
Gah I love this lipstick. It is soooo easy to wear and lasts soooooo nicely on my lips. I have been counting down the days until October so I can see what next month’s is since I got the perk!

It wears a lot better than the Fig shade I have. Although I love that colour, I feel like it wears off wayyy quicker than Mimosa does. Yeah I can’t wait to see what October has in store for us too!
after seeing both yours and Julie’s swatches I am really regretting not getting it! I won’t make that mistake in October… I read that the full size lip lab LE for October is purple – sangria coloured lipstick would be amazing!

I’m confused by all these releases. Are the point perks a different limited release from the lip lab ones? Ahhhh too many new releases!
This colour is gorgeous on you!

😀 Thanks!
That sort of reminds me of the color I had made. Do you think it is similar?
Hmmmm.. I feel like yours had more pink in it. More coral? I kind of wish I’d swatched yours beside mine but I obviously wanted to take photos of it first. 🙁
OMG, that is such a stunning red! And thank you for reminding me about Fire & Ice, gosh, I’ve forgotten that I owned it. Beauty blogger’s problem….

I tend to forget about Fire & Ice as well… and yet when I wear it, I fall in love with it all over again. It really is one of the absolute best lipsticks I own!
Ugh this color is GORGEOUS!

I know!!! I was stunned with just how good it was. I mean it looked nice on Sephora’s site… but not THIS good!
Ah, this shade is amazing on you! You really wear bright lipsticks just as well as you do neon shadows 🙂

Hah, I just don’t know how to match bright shadows WITH bright lips…..
Is there a red you can’t pull off?? haha Seriously, from what I’ve seen it’s definitely your lip colour!

I guess I never really thought of “pulling off” colours that way. I usually don’t notice if it’s flattering or not (unless it’s really, REALLY bad!), so I tend to just wear whatever the heck I want. But thank you! 😀
