Challenge Week: Tarte Tarteist Pro

This post is looong overdue! I’ve had a few requests to do a Challenge Week using the tarte Tarteist Pro, and while it’s taken me far too long to do it, here we have it!

Look 1

The first thing I wanted to do was go for the shades I was most drawn towards, and that was definitely a warm red eye with a pale lid.

Eyes

  1. Innocent through the crease.
  2. Whimsy also in the crease.
  3. Glam on the lid.
  4. Mod on the outer corner.
  5. Drama to deepen up the outer corner.
  6. Classic on the brow bone.

I used the Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blaquer to coat the lower lash line and smudged it out with a pencil brush covered in Mod to help make it more red. I created the wing with the ARTDECO High Precision Liner, applied the essence The False Lashes Mascara Dramatic Volume Unlimited mascara to my lashes and popped on a pair of Ardell falsies.

Face

  • Foundation: Wet n Wild Photofocus foundation in Shell Ivory
  • Bronzer: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
  • Blush: Tarte Natural Beauty
  • Lips: Too Faced Melted Matte in Drop Dead Red

Look 2

For this one I wanted more of a golden look that most people seem to gravitate towards during the summer months.

Eyes

  1. Bold through the crease.
  2. No Filter through the crease.
  3. Ethereal on the lid.
  4. Drama on the outer corner
  5. Vamp in the outer v.
  6. Classic on the brow bone

I created the wing with Physicians Formula Eye Booster and applied Revlon’s Mega Multiplier mascara to my lashes. I’ve also popped on a pair of KISS Poise lashes.

Face

  • Foundation: Too Faced Born This Way in Porcelain
  • Bronzer: Tarte Park Avenue Princess
  • Blush: tarte Darling blush
  • Highlighter: Tarte Spellbound Glow
  • Lipstick: Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect

Look 3

For this look, I was headed out to a concert and didn’t have a whole lot of time to get ready. While I LIKE the look of a single colour on the eye, I don’t often opt for it because I feel like I’m not playing with my makeup enough. However, for needing to get out the door fast? It’s a winner!

Eyes

  1. Bold through the crease.
  2. Trendy all over the entire lid.
  3. Vamp to deepen up the outer corner.
  4. Ethereal on the inner corner.
  5. Classic on the brow bone.

I applied Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint mascara to my lashes.

Face

  • Foundation: Too Faced Born This Way foundation in Porcelain
  • Bronzer: NYC Sun n Bronze in Fire Island Tan
  • Charlotte Tilbury Chic to Cheek blush in Love is the Drug
  • Highlighter: tarte Spellbound Glow
  • Lips: Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Kim KW

Look 4

I was trying to pull back and go for an easy/simple eye look… but uh… yeah. This is as easy as I get!

Eyes

  1. Chic through the crease.
  2. Glam on the lid.
  3. Whimsy outer corner and crease.
  4. Classic on the brow bone.

I created the wing with Physicians Formula Eye Booster in Ultra Black and applied tarte’s Tarteist Lash Paint mascara to my lashes.

Face

  • Foundation: Too Faced Born This Way in Porcelain mixed with Illamasqua Skin Base in 6.5 (which I quickly discovered is EXACTLY the same shade!)
  • Bronzer: NYC Sun n Bronze in Fire Island Tan
  • Blush: NYX Soft Flush Ombre Blush
  • Highlighter: Tarte Spellbound
  • Lips: Maybelline Shocking Coral

Look 5

And to round it all out: my absolute favourite look I came up with. I stuck with matte and raspberry shades and it made the perfect eye look!

Eyes

  1. Chic through the crease.
  2. Mod on the outer half of the lid and pulled through the crease.
  3. Vintage on the inner half of the lid.
  4. Drama to deepen up the outer corner.
  5. Classic on the brow bone.

I created the wing with Physicians Formula Eye Booster in Ultra Black and applied tarte’s Tarteist Lash Paint mascara to my lashes.l/4621/

    1. It’s a really nice palette! Which is almost a bit funny, because I swear I thought I had heard that people didn’t like it when it first came out. I, however, am definitely a fan!

  1. Ive had this palette forever, and have stopped reaching for it since I have so many, but I think I will try to bring it back into the rotation, it has a lot of great basics in it. Thanks for the inspiration. I especially love look #2!!
