When Tarte came out with their “Icy Betch” palette on April 1st, and then quickly pointed out it was a joke, I was so damn mad. I wanted that palette in all it’s blue and green goodness! (See more on that Icy Betch April Fool’s Day joke here.)
So when a few brands started duping the colours and putting the colours together in a palette, I was so frigging happy. And then even MORE happy when my friend Sam gave me the palette that Face Candy had come up with that were exact shade dupes!
Face Candy is one of those brands that dupes popular palettes, but the hilarity is that this was never really an actual palette – just a hypothetical one. So the fake Tarte Icy Betch palette has now become a real life Face Candy palette called Atlantis. Face Candy can be bought through Shop Hush.

There’s a lot of unique shades in here I feel like!! Abyss and Ripples are super cool
There’s a ton in here and I think the palette really lent itself to being more varied. Usually creators are restricted because they can only two ONE blue in a palette or something. This was collection of shades is like “nope, throw them all in!”.
Such pretty colours! Looks like Tarte really missed out on something by doing this April Fool’s joke and not actually releasing a palette with those colours.

Oh they were SUCH idiots. I’m still holding out hope that they’ll release that palette!
What did you think of the pigment quality ? The shades look gorgeous.
Did you see my full review? I talked about the shadows in depth in it. In case you missed it, here’s the link: https://youtu.be/8lJMqjqLjRk
In short though – shimmers are wonderful and best used wet. Mattes are overly powdery, occasionally chalky and were a bit tough to blend (both alone and on top of each other).
