These mini palettes by Too Faced have a real tendency to speak to me. I just love the tiny compact packaging, and generally the themes are right up my alley too.
Although I’ve not been overly enamored by Too Faced‘s holiday offerings this year, the one item I was definitely into was this Hot Buttered Rum palette. It’s rare that I find a neutral palette interesting, but this one seemed a bit more fun than most. I like that there’s a deep rusty, warm shade as well as a deep mustard – those two really sold the palette for me.
The palette is scented… and I’m sure it’s supposed to smell like hot buttered rum, but I mostly just get a faint sweet and gingery scent off of it.

Part of me thinks the is the bees knees, but I KNOW I have almost all these shades already… But not in one set! Conflicted!

I’ve been using it for two days now and I agree it’s dupeable, but I don’t quiiiiite have it in this compact of a format (I’d have to hunt across my palettes for some of the shades). I’m happy to have it, but yeah… we’ve all pretty much got every single eyeshadow colour under the sun by now!
