I did a tutorial featuring the Hard Candy Pinking of You palette on Friday (check out that Valentine’s Day look here) and I’m following it up with a Swatch Sunday post!
I will say that you’re going to find a lot of the colours in the middle section of this palette are very, very similar. There isn’t a whole lot of pigment definition between them, but it does mean that it’s a really easy palette for people looking for a soft look. One thing to note is that there are no mattes in this palette, so you’ll need some additional colours to balance it out if you want something other than a totally shimmery eye.

The product featured in this post was sent to me for consideration.
Just not feeling the pinks in this one, but Hard Candy have some great palettes

The palette does work to a certain degree, but it could really do with some dark mattes to bring out some of the pigmentation of the other shades. Which ones have you tried and loved?
Wow, those colours really are similar to each other. A bit of a miss 🙁
Yeah the middle section is all very much the same (although I love the shades on either end – I think they’re quite lovely). It IS great for some people that want to slap on a colour and go though.
Hmmmm, not really my shades, but I do think the last shade is very pretty.

Yeah the last shade is definitely my favourite as well. I’m not much of a pink person (unless it’s NEON) but it would definitely work for someone going for a subtle shimmery pink look.
The silver is my favourite shade from this palette! You’re totally right. The shades are great for a soft pink look!

I loved the white for highlighting my inner corner – and that outer pink (darker) one is awesome too. Definitely works for those who like a more subtle look though!
I agree that there’s not much difference between some of the shades in the middle. It’s too bad (a wider range would have been nice), but at the same time a good entry palette for beginners.

Definitely an entry palette that can be used in multiple ways. I was just talking to someone the other day that actually said they preferred shadows like this because they have far less scary pigmentation!
