There’s some new colours in the Wet n Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner lineup and they’re freaking stunners!
The Wet n Wild Mega Liners are designed like an ink well – you dip back in to get more product out. They’re said to be “formulated with high-definition pigment and a unique blend of polymers for a rich fluid formula that dries fast and stays put to subtly enhance or dramatically define”.
The best part about these liners? They’re MATTE! I was not expecting that at all, so when I first used them I was totally taken aback. I am so, so happy that these bright vibrant colours are in a matte formula as it creates a sharp impact on the eyes which I much prefer (instead of a shiny liner).
The Mega Liner comes with a flexible felt tip liner that is blissfully long and pointy. I have a huge complaint with liquid liners that are not long enough because I usually end up creating a stubby wing. Thankfully, that isn’t a problem with the Mega Liner – the tip is flexible and long enough to create a beautiful wing.
Voltage Blue is opaque in one swipe and has beautiful pigmentation. Electric Purple is more liquid overall and may require two passes to reach full opacity (still a lovely shade nonetheless).
Wearing Voltage Blue. I die over this colour!
Wearing Voltage Blue – see how crisp and sharp that line is? Beauuuuutiful pigmentation.
Wearing Electric Purple. Darker and more subtle than Voltage Blue.
Wearing Electric Purple – I had a slightly more difficult time with the application on this one. It might be because it was a bit more watery so I had to make several passes (creating a more jagged edge).
Here’s a comparison shot: The shot on the left was taken at 7:30 in the morning before I went to work. The shot on the right was taken when I got home from work at 5 pm. Although my eye shape isn’t identical (sorry!), you can see there is no change in pigmentation and the liner held up the entire day (roughly 10 hours!).
Final Thoughts
It’s worth noting that the Mega Liners are not waterproof – so just keep that in mind. Overall, I’m impressed with the pigmentation and formula of these two liquid liners, *especially* when you consider their price point is somewhere around two to three bucks. Out of the two of them, I do prefer Voltage Blue as I felt it had superior pigmentation. That being said, both liners had a longevity over 10 hours long which is hugely impressive to me. Because really, if my liner can’t last an entire work day, why would I even bother applying it??
Let me know if you’ve tried these out or if these shades are something you would wear. 🙂

THAT PURPLE. I’d totally wear that!! The blue is a little to bright for me, but the purple oh my gawd

What I like especially about the purple is that it’s vibrant enough to be different from all the other plum liners you see out there, but it’s still subtle and dark enough to be used daily for most people. The blue is my favourite because I’m obviously a brights person, but I do think the purple would work for the bulk of people overall!
These are beautiful! I would definitely see myself wearing the purple liner. The blue is a bit too bright, but maybe on the bottom lash (if I had it).

Oh! The blue on the lower lash line would be gorgeous!
That purple liner is amazing! I do love the blue one as well, but I doubt it would get as much wear from me. The matte formulation is really nice, I hate when liner is shiny! (I’m the worst at applying winged eyeliner, so to me your application looks amazing!)

Thanks Lindsey! I also despise when liner is shiny because I feel like it picks up the eyeshadows from my lid and makes everything look super muddy. Mattes don’t seem to do that on me! Winged liner is definitely a labour of love. It used to take me a good twenty minutes to get it just right, now I can pretty much do it on the fly (although a lot depends on the applicator).
Wow these look great! This is what the ‘tattoo artist’ used at the event! Definitely great liners! I regret not taking these. But yeah, good thing that you mentioned they weren’t water proof. When I took a shower in the evening, the water fully rinsed it away!

Yeah, I was a bit surprised to see them calling it “Tattoo Art” and then I saw the liners and I was like… I will for SURE end up smudging that off if I get one!
OH WHOOOAAA. That’s amazing.

I knew the purple was going to be super popular!
It’s too bad it’s the lesser as far as formula, but the shade is gorgeous.

Yeah – no matter how much I shook that bottle, I just could get it to thicken up more.
Wowee- they really do last! I’m a sucker for a blue liner so I’ll have to check these out!

I was pretty impressed that such an inexpensive liner went absolutely nowhere after an entire workday!
Loving Electric Purple! I have such a hard time with liners, I didn’t bother grabbing these, but after trying a different one (And seeing this!) I completely regret it!

Oh shoot! 🙁
I had a bit of problems with the H2O liner (it didn’t dry fast enough and I blinked… causing a nice line on my upper eyelid. Ugh), but I need to try it again. Which one did you like?
I’ve tried the Proline Felt Tip Eyeliner and Graphic Marker Eyeliner. Both were all day-ers!

Yay so glad I just found your blog! Great stuff.
Hey Lindsay! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
this is amazing, these really seem comparable to the KVD at 1/10th the price…

I’ve only tried the white KVD Ink Liner – are the rest of them matte?
I don’t know if they all are but this blue reminds me of Nietzsche, less purple but probably a better formula from the reviews I’ve seen…
