Esqido Gel Eyeliners (Review & Swatches)
Esqido has been my preferred brand for fake lashes for quite a while now- I find them comfortable and easy to wear, and they have some of the most flattering shapes for my own eyes. So when Esqido announced they were launching eyeliners I was a little surprised, but it also makes a lot of sense, too.
Esqido has put out two colours in their brand new Gel Eyeliner collection: Black and Brown.
The Esqido Gel Eyeliners come in your traditional twist up pencil (which can thankfully be twizzled down as well). They also have a sharpener on the opposite end of the pencil which pops off for easy sharpening. This isn’t a feature I traditionally use as I feel it wastes product, but it’s there for people who are looking for a sharper edge.
The two liners swatch easily. They are mostly creamy on application, but there is a slight bit of stiffness which I believe actually increases the longevity of the liners. I’ve used some of the incredibly creamy eyeliners on the market and while they can bevery easy to apply, I feel like some of the longevity is lost in the creaminess of the product. That isn’t to say that these are rough on the eyes – they’re not! But they’re not the smoothest, creamiest ones either.
You may have seen that Esqido launched a fairly intensive social media campaign when they first announced these eyeliners. The demonstrations of people running water over eyeliner swatches and then vigorously rubbing their hand to show the longevity was wild – these looked completely impervious to the elements!
Now, I can’t say that I go about rubbing my eyes and splashing water on my face all day when I’m wearing makeup, but these eyeliners do hold up very, very well. I found this to be especially obvious on the lower water line which can be a problem area for me if the liner is bad. The two colours go on extremely pigmented and can be easily blended out with a brush to smoke out the colour. They do set though, so you need to move quickly. I found that the liners held on to my water line extremely well throughout eight or so hours. I had very minimal fading at the very outer corners of my eyes which is not unexpected for me.
So if you’re in the market for a long lasting gel eyeliner, you may want to look into the Esqido ones. They’re regularly priced at $15 USD, but they’re doing a promo right now and they’re only $12 each!

Esqido Lashes Review (Radiance & Unforgettable)
In 2016, as part of my yearly favourites video, I declared that Esqido had become my favourite fake lashes on the market. It’s a bold statement, and an expensive one at that since these are quite up there in the price tag department, but we’re a year later now and I can still confirm that Esqido still makes the most beautiful and comfortable lashes I’ve ever worn!
Esqido offered to send me some of their new styles and I was more than happy to accept them! Funnily enough, their lashes are so good that in the year or so I’ve had the other ones in my collection, I’ve only managed to burn through one pair and the other pair is still going strong. So when you look at the elevated price tag of these, just know that you’re getting really good quality with it. And since my last review of their lashes was in 2016, I thought it’d be fun to refresh my memory on why I love these so much.
The number one reason I like the Esqido lashes so much is that the cotton band that the lashes are attached to is incredibly flexible. Unlike your typical plastic band that has no dang flex, the Esqido band can conform to your eye shape every time without issue. Their lash styles are also beautiful (and they’ve added a lot of new ones recently!) so when you combine a beautiful fake lash with a comfortable band? You’ve got an absolute killer product!
The Esqido Radiance lashes ($29 USD) are labelled a 2 out of 5 stars in terms of volume on their web site which makes these more on the natural side of things. The Radiance lashes have a little bit of a V-shape flare at the base of the lashes which help make your eyes look bigger.
The Unforgettable lashes ($28 USD) are very similar to the Radiance lashes, although these have a little bit more of a flared out effect on the edges. This is also a 2 out of 5 star volume. (I decided since my last post was focused on big lashes, I wanted this one to be centered around the more natural looking ones.) The Unforgettable lashes have less of a V flare compared to the previous one, but they are more concentrated on the outer corner which helps to elongate the eye.
In all honesty, the difference between the Radiance and Unforgettable lashes is not a big one (although I only have Radiance pictured here), so if you like one style more than the other, go for it, but they’ll pretty much produce the same look.
Final Thoughts
It almost goes without saying, but these are just as good as ever! The band is super comfortable and flexible making this a lash I’d actually suggest for false lash newbies. I realize that dropping about $30 USD on a pair of lashes may seem daunting for a beginner, but these are hands down the easiest to apply out of all of the lashes I’ve tried. I can also easily get 20-25 uses out of these lashes which is kind of unheard of. A lot of brands claim they’ll last that long, but they often don’t! These do actually stand the test of time.
Another thing to add – Esqido‘s web site is really, REALLY good. They have side by side comparisons of no lashes vs each lash style applied to the model and it’s incredibly informative. It’s not an overly edited look either. They stick to no mascara and layer it on top of the eye so you can see how much volume it adds. I was really impressed by their attention to detail and the clarity of the pictures on their site.
In short, Esqido lashes are expensive, yes, but they are hands down my favourite lash brand out there and are worth every single penny!

Esqido Lashes Review (Lashlorette & Lash Named Desire)
I think my very first introduction to Esqido lashes was by Tati (aka Glam Life Guru) who raved about their soft fluttery lashes on YouTube yearrs ago. While I had seen the brand at several IMATS of years gone by, I had never delved into the brand personally…. Until now! Esqido is now selling their lashes at Holt Renfrew in Canada and they’re a heck of a lot more accessible to me that way!
A few weeks back they invited a bunch of bloggers to their different retail locations across the country to try on some lashes and take them home – I was allll in for that. I wear a lot of fake lashes in my videos and for going out so I’m always happy to try out a new pair and see how they compare to my beloved House of Lashes!
For a little background, Esqido lashes are professional grade mink lashes (which, to my understanding, involves combing the mink for their hairs). They feature a cotton band which is something completely new to me – all my previous lash bands have been made out of some kind of plastic. The lashes are re-usable (as all lashes are) and the web site says “up to 25 times” for re-wear.
The pair they tried on me at Holt Renfrew are the Lashlorette pair (pictured above). They were cut to fit my eye shape, hence why they’re a little bit janky looking since I took them home with me. The Lashlorette are considered one of their medium volume lashes (3 out of 5). What I liked about these is that they are flared the whole way around the lash which is something I’ve never really tried before (I usually opt for a bit more of a taper towards the inner corner of my eye). I did notice a wee bit of tickling on my inner corner, but that’s bound to happen without a taper.
I’m wearing the Lashlorette pair above and I love how fluffy and voluminous it makes my lashes look.
The other pair I got to take home with me with are the Lash Named Desire. These are considered 4/5 for volume and have a more tapered inner corner and voluminous outer corner.
Although I liked the Lashlorette, I found myself far more impressed with the look of Lash Named Desire on me. I found it suited my eye shape a lot more and added just the right amount of drama.
Close up, you can see that the lashes blend in completely with my own lashes. Honestly, up close, the effect looks incredibly subtle to me which is impressive given how dramatic they look from far away.
Overall Thoughts
Although I’ve only worn the Esqido eyelashes a handful of times (there was zero chance I was going to be able to get 25 uses out of a pair of lashes before needing to review them!), I am EXTREMELY impressed with how these wear. The band of the lashes is black, which made me a bit nervous since I tend to prefer a clear band, but I found that the black band really helped meld into my liquid eyeliner and disguise it without the added need of drawing back over the band with liner. I also discovered that since the band is made out of cotton, these may actually be the most comfortable set of lashes I own. The band was strong enough to support the weight of the lashes, but flexible enough that both sets of lashes conformed to my eye shape without any fuss. Usually when you’re working with a plastic band, even if you warp the band to fit your eye, you still struggle since the plastic doesn’t always want to conform to your eye shape.
So while the cost of Esqido lashes may be a bit up there for some people (they’re around $35 USD a pair), I do think that you’re paying for the added quality and comfort that these lashes can provide you with.
